Emma's story.

As a mother of two, I understand firsthand how crucial it is to have emotional support during pregnancy, postpartum and motherhood. My personal experiences and professional training have led me to my work with women and mothers.  I am passionate about providing empathetic, supportive, and collaborative therapy (no mommy shaming, ever!).

I am a licensed therapist, LCSW #79627. I received my BS in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo. I received my Master In Social Work from University of Southern California and graduated with honors.

I am an active member of Postpartum Support International, have received maternal mental health training via: Maternal Mental Health Now, advanced clinical training from Postpartum Support International, intensive clinical training from Seleni Institute for perinatal loss and grief, intersections of birth and trauma training from Growing Well LLC and am a graduate of the Postpartum Action Institute.  I have extensive training in various evidence-based practices which have been proven to be effective when treating perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, such as: Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)  and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT).

In addition to providing individual therapy, I am a representative for South Bay Families Connected, and a contributor for various publications on the topic of perinatal mental health.
