Emma's story.

As a fellow mom, I understand firsthand how crucial it is to have emotional support during pregnancy, postpartum and motherhood. My personal experiences and professional training have led me to my work with women and mothers.  I am passionate about providing empathetic, supportive, and collaborative therapy (no mommy shaming, ever!).

I am a licensed therapist, LCSW #79627. I received my BS in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo. I received my Master In Social Work from University of Southern California and graduated with honors.

I am an active member of Postpartum Support International, have received maternal mental health training via Maternal Mental Health Now, advanced clinical training via Postpartum Support International, intersections of birth and trauma training via Growing Well and am a graduate of the Postpartum Action Institute.  I have extensive training in various evidence-based practices which have been proven to be effective when treating perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, such as: Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)  and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT).

In addition to providing individual therapy, I am the Co-Director of the Parenting Program at Mother Nurture Network in Redondo Beach, a teacher at the Pump Station in Santa Monica, and a contributor for various publications on the topic of perinatal mental health.
